Which is the Best Blog Search Engine
Kepping at the bleeding edge of developments in your niche can be a very important thing for some bloggers.
If you have a news blog then you need to get as much information as quickly as you possibly can when a hot new story breaks in the blogosphere.
To keep at the forefront of information you are probably going to have to use blog search engines at some point. Fact is that bloggers are usually the first to pick up a story and get it moving in the world of information so keeping an eye on them can be pretty important.
But which blog search engine is best for doing this?
There are a few to choose from with Technorati, IceRocket, Feedster and Google’s Blogsearch heading up the pack.
Recently Scobleizer did a very interesting experiment to see who picked up his news the fastest.
He got his readers (and fellow bloggers) to put the word “brrreeeport†into their blogs and preferably tag it as well.
His results were interesting with Google Blogsearch being the clear winner in terms of picking up blogs about that tag the quickest and reporting them in their search results.
Something to keep in mind if you really need up to date stuff and you need it now!

Inventing brrreeeport
This means nothing. It’s purely for the sake of the brrreeeport experiment, so you don’t have to click or do anything….
